Our Method

BA Logo 2013All of our teachers are certified in BarreAmped, an intensive body shaping experience designed to produce reliable results, no matter the client. The method is influenced by classical and modern dance (though it is not a dance class) and utilizes a barre to achieve optimal positioning. Insights from Pilates combined with active and orthopedic stretching also balance the method’s unique approach. 

Our precision-oriented technique focuses mainly on small, isolated movements within deeply held and challenging postures. BarreAmped is proven to increase metabolism, burn fat, and lengthen tight muscles. With commitment to the technique, you get recognizable results exactly where you want them.

Created by international fitness celebrity and former Lotte Berk Method instructor Suzanne Bowen, BarreAmped is the result of more than 13 years of physiological study and client observations by one of America’s top fitness talents. Precise form is essential to achieving optimal results in BarreAmped; thus, BarreAmped instructors are highly trained to correct and refine your positioning during each workout. Setting BarreAmped apart from other barre methods is its focus on work with a neutral spine.

To get maximum amped up results and to stay safe, BarreAmped classes are taught with an emphasis on form. From the foundation up, a client works at her (or his) own maximum in order to achieve both mental and physical benefits from the first class. From its inception, a neutral spine position has been paramount in the BarreAmped method. Suzanne Bowen, BarreAmped Creator

Suzanne is the creator BarreAmped, an internationally taught barre technique which has been chosen by Fitness Magazine and Natural Health Magazine as the best of barre workouts in 2014-15.

Suzanne is also the creator of Suzanne Bowen Fitness providing online streaming barre and cardio classes, and numerous top selling fitness DVDs. Suzanne does extensive training with posture and prenatal specialists, including her friend, Julie Weiebe, PT, to stay up to date on the latest scientific data as it relates to fitness

Our Studio and Teachers

Barre 2 Barre is Asia's only certified BarreAmped studio. Our founders Karen and Mylene spend time re-training every year with Suzanne Bowen in the US and around Asia. All our teachers are highly trained to correct and refine your position during the workout.
